In this era where everyone is trying to lose
weight or avoiding gaining weight, saying you want to gain some weight just
singles you out and it's something you have to do alone because no one around
feels the same way. People don't realize that skinny people also struggle with
gaining weight same way the fat ones struggle with losing some because both
cases demoralizes some of the victims and make them lose their self worth and confidence.
I've been skinny for years and never increased in size no matter how much food I
consumed and trust me, I consumed a lot. I got scared and decided to see a
specialist because I started wondering if this so called metabolism of mine
could be as a result of an illness or worse. The specialist, Dr. Law,
enlightened me on the issue, explaining what the problem was and giving me
steps on how to increase my body mass and gain some weight. I have been
following his steps for 6 months now and I've seen changes in my physical
structure. so I want to share these steps with those of you trying to gain a
little weight also. Here are the steps from Dr. Law:
1. De-worm yourself:
Worm infestation can be
contacted from various sources in our daily everyday lives - walking around
barefooted, biting nails, drinking bad water(untreated water), contact from
your pet or a handshake from your gardener. It is almost impossible to not get
infected so its wise and advisable to de-worm yourself once every 6months, but
due to individual structuring, it is wiser to consult your physician for
prescription and dosage.
2. Consume calorie dense foods:
Skinny people always complain
about eating too much but never gaining weight but there are two reasons for
this.
First,
whatever amount of food you're taking right now, your body is burning it all up
so there is nothing left to be converted to fat.
Second, the market flows with what is in
demand and what is in demand right now is cholesterol free and 0g fat calories
food. So even if you eat a lot, you probably have been consuming foods that aid
in losing weight.
Now
to solve such issue, first you have track your daily calorie intake. You can
download calories counter from Google play
Now that you know your regular caloric
intake, start taking an added 700 more calories daily to gain weight. To get
such amount of calories, you have to eat at least every 3hours and eat calorie
dense foods like:
·
Bananas
·
Peas
·
Potatoes
·
Oats
·
Cereals
·
Snacks - burgers, pizzas, smoothies,
milkshakes, hot dogs, cookies......
·
Pasta
·
Bread
·
Eggs
·
Olive oils...
Also, drink lots of water and take fruits and
vegetables for a healthy growth.
3. Exercise: Engage
in exercises to get fit rather than chubby and lazy. Exercise regularly but not
rigorously, you don't want to burn up all you consumed.
Do compound exercises (squats, sit-ups,
push-ups, pull-ups, bench presses...) and free weight lifting.
